I am forwarding herewn Office a Statement of the balanced remaining on the hands of D Saml D Brien of the 1 Regt of A & E, at Fort McHenry amounting to Dolls 66. "for I have recd a further Voucher for payments made by that Officer for seven dollars and eighty seven Cents, which has been posted to his credit on the Books of this Office, leaving a Ballance now Standing against him of Dolls 51 N, you will of course make the necessary deduction of his Pay in order to balance that amount —
