Not having been favored with your Answer to my letters of the 20th &27th ulto I still find it necessary to request information respecting Payment of the troops at the upper posts— The Garrison of Presque Isle is paid up to the first of October &the Garrison of Fort Fayette up to August &Capt Tinnas is making requisitions for a further payment— I have already advanced considerably beyond the balance stated by the Accountant on the 12th of September last, the Rolls and other Vouchers for Payments made since those last sent, shall be transmitted as soon as Capt Tinnas's Rolls are complicated— in the mean time I have taken the liberty this day of drawing on you in favour of Robert Andrews at ten days sight for three hundred and fifty two Dollars Eighty seven Cents which be pleased to pay and charge to me on account of Pay &ca of the Troops— this Draft is made at the particular request of Mr Andrews— whom I presume you are acquainted with being the same Revd Robert Andrews that has acted as Chaplain and Preceptor in the family of General Wilkinson &who at his departure from Pittsburgh, requested me to take charge of that Sum
