I have received your letter dated the 25th and must confess myself entirely at a loss to know why you should conceive that the deduction I directed from your account proceeded from enmity. I tried to give the grounds upon which that deductions was made they were just ones, & such as have always governed in this Office. I therefore request you will state the grounds upon which you have formed your account— the receipt of C. Pillon &c will be put on your application to Nicholas Fish supervisor—
