Agreeably to my letter of the 28 Ulto the Abstract Rolls for the pay of the troops at Fort Norfolk for April, May & June 1799 have undergone an examination & the amount found receipted therein being Six hundred & eighty four Dollars 4/90 will be placed to your credit on the Books of this Office —
I wish you to draw out a forward a statement of your account being desirous of ascertaining the balance remaining in your hands for the purpose of informing the Pay master General whose duty it now is to liquidate all Army Accounts
