Cap^t Peter Tallmadge Fort Wolcott September 19. 1799 Sir I have received your letter dated 6 Instant enclosing a receipt list for pay & forage of the troops Stationed at Fort Wolcott for the month of June 1799 — from which your account has been Stated & inclosed for your perusal by which there appears a balance remaining in your hands of Twenty five Dollars, a Settlement whereof, has been sent to the Pay master General, who of course will make the same from your pay on the next Pay table in order to balance that amount.
