Samuel Hodgdon Philadelphia Trenton Sep. 18^th, 1799 Sir, Inclosed you have Invoices of five Hhds. and one Bale forwarded per Daniel Fishers Waggon to your address which you will please to have forwarded to Pittsburgh to the address of Major Isaac Craig and direct him to have the same forwarded to the Commanding Officer at Fort Wayne — The Waggoner would not take charge of [strikethrough: the] whole of the packages to deliver them at Pitts. or we would have contrived to have got them weighed — but as we had no proper Scales there is none of the packages weighed — you will therefore please to have them weighed & Settle with the Waggoner for the Carriage which will be reimbursed you again you also have the Waggoners Receipt for the same Inclosed — Your Letter of the 12. inst. has come to hand but in consequence of M. Millers leaving Trenton the afternoon before it came to hand he has not yet seen it — however I expect him here this evening or tomorrow when I make no doubt he will comply with your Request — I am.
