Pittsburg 13^th September 1799 Sir Your letter of the 6^th inst. now before me affords the very pleasing information of your family's safety, and of the city being again tolerably healthy. The 2^d Mr Gen arrived here on the evening of the 4^th inst and Col° Hamtramck from Detroit arrived yesterday – and is to continue at this post, he having the command of all the troops on the Western frontier – Capt. Vance embarks this day for Fort Washington, taking with him the Dollars that Major Swan brought from that place. Lieut.
