I have received your letter of the 30 Ulto inclosing a receipt roll for pay of Captn Ingersells Company for June together with loose receipts for pay of Artificers, Matross, a pay and forage of 2d Denny as Adjutant for June & July, which have been examined & the amount found right being Four hundred Dollars 97/100 will be placed to the Credit of your account on the Books of this Office
Enclosed I remit you a Copy of your account, from which it appears that there is a balance in favor of the Ud on your hands of Two hundred & thirty two Dollars 28/100 for which Sum you are held accountable & which you will please pay to Nicholas Fish Esqriron when your account will be closed on the Books of this Office

I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 10 Instant, wherein you complain of my rejecting your charge of transportation & provisions; & that you wish to ask the cause — I thought that my letter of the 21 Ulto had so fully discuss'd this point as to supercede the necessity of the question as however you seem not to have understood me, I will here quote you such passage from your Contract as will give you the information requir'd, Vizt "John King doth agree that he will furnish to all troops and recruits that may be stationed, march'd or recruited within District No 2, to
