I have received your letter of the 4 Instant and agreeably to your desire expected therein, an examination of your accounts has taken place, which is found to correspond with your Statement, a balance remaining in your hands in favor of the United States of Twelve dollars & the out of which you will please pay the released Bounty due Anthony Fitz & Clarkson & Jeremiah Thew 26t which payments being effected only one Cent will remain unappropriated, which sum the Pay master General will be directed to deduct from the next Pay Roll.
