Capⁿ Staats Morris Fort M^cHenry Accountants Office September 9^th 1799 ~ Sir I have received your letter of the 4^th Instant enclosing the muster rolls for pay of the Troops under your Command at Fort M^cHenry for the month of June last, which has been examined & found correct. the amount thereof ampts being six hundred twenty six Dollars 66 has been pass'd to your credit Enclosed you will receive a statement of your accounts from which you will observe that there is a balance against you of thirty dollars $30.41 which sum will be deducted from your pay by the Pay master General ~ I am &^c W. Dyson Fort M^cHenry September 10^th 1799 Sir I have to request that you will State your Secondary accounts noting particularly in what rolls your Rations were mustered present, dead or deserted, also your account Current shewing the balance, afterwards transmit them to this Office that an examination may take place & your accounts finally adjusted, as all accounts of this nature are in future to be presented to the Pay master General ~ I am &^c W.
