Sir
I received your letter of the 2d Instant enclosing
your accounts of supplies to the 11th Regt during the last month
which are now under examination the result of which you
will be duly informed of.
I informed you by letter of the 21 Ulto of the settlement of
your accounts up to the 31 July, but owing to the delay in
obtaining the Warrant for the balance then found in your
favor, neither the money nor letter has been forwarded to you
until now.
The Treasurer of the United States will remit you the
sum of One thousand five hundred Dollars on account of the
Subsistence of the Army for which sum you will grant him
the necessary receipt
