Cap^t John Henry New York N^o Accountants Office Trenton 8^th Oct^r 1799 Sir The muster roll which accompanies your Letter of the 25^th Ult^o has been examined, the amount therein receipted being one thousand & eighty four Dollars & three cents to your credit. notwithstanding the pay of Henley, Harding & Marcer was not forwarded to you, but directed from this Pay rolls in consequence of their being mutineers in confinement at Fort Jay, untill it could be known, whether part or any of their pay, was forfeited to the United States. I have notwithstanding admitted the amount due to them to your credit, you will therefore be pleased to forward to this Office, monies by you[r]self, from you, of their having been delivered without forfeiting any part of their pay — Enclosed you will receive a statement of your account as it stands on the Books of this Office from which you will observe, that after crediting you for your pay to the 1^st of the present month, there is still a balance against you of seventy dollars & 6 c^ts for which you will be charged as falls accountable on the Books of this Office — I am &^c W.
