I have received your letter of the 20th inst. & enclosures — the Pay & Muster Rolls of the Ordnance detachment will be transferred to C. Swan D M. for examination & payment he having opened an Office in this place: & as being his duty as the [undecipherable: law] authorise to examine & liquidate all Army Accounts — Your future transmissions of such accounts will in course be made to that Officer & he will communicate with you on that subject — The other papers will be placed under examination & the result duly communicated to you —
