Sir,
Yesterday I wrote a letter to the Quarter
Master General informing him that sundry packages of Clothing
for the Army was ready for transportation to their respective de-
stinations, and as the Store is about closing I requested to
attend to the business immediately. I hope it is done, as I
have made the Secretary of War and General Hamilton acquain-
ted with the subject, and they will of course expect soon to
hear of its arrival. I enclose a note for payment — will
thank you to send me a check before any movement takes
place at the Bank, or enclose me notes for the amount —
The necessary receipt shall be signed when presented.
