Sir,
Philadelphia 26th Augt 1799.
The enclosed shews the quantity of clothing ready for transportation— As the store may possibly be shut in a day or two, it is desirable to have this clothing forwarded to its respective destinations immediately— I pray you to make the arrangements accordingly— The clothing for Trenton may go in the Shallop that takes the public Stores to Lamberton.
I am, Sir,
Your most obedient Servant,

Sir,
To keep up a regular supply of articles likely to be wanted for the part of the Army eastward. I have forwarded the several articles mentioned in the enclosed invoice to be deposited with you, until the Storekeeper Mr Harris arrives, or until further order is taken respecting them. Mr Bast one of the clerks in the public Store has them in charge and is forwarded to see them safely stored. He will return in the Shallop. Previous to which he will want your assistance in providing conditional quarters at least for Mr Harris, himself and another clerk, and provision must also be made for the accommodation of two or three labourers who mean to go with the Stores. Inform me by Mr Bast whether such provision can be made, and on what terms.
