August 23d 1799 Sir Your letter dated the 14 Inst. with its enclosures, now receiv'd, the pay & muster rolls have been transferred to [undecipherable] [undecipherable] Pay master General, who now has an Office in this place, & whose duty it is on the first Instalment to liquidate all Army accounts — I am &c [signature]
