Your letter of the 15th instant came to hand this morning; on enquiry I find no such order as you mention has yet issued from the War Office, but it will issue this day. As soon as transportation can be provided they will be sent to you. You will be pleased to forward to me occasionally Returns for such supplies as you may need in future for your Recruits; when received an early attention shall be paid to them, and the articles will be immediately forwarded if in Store, or as soon as possible after they are purchased

To day I received your letter of the 20th instant. The inclosed statement shews the Clothing already obtained for your Regiment, and every exertion is making to forward the whole due agreeably to the Return, but circumstances gives reason to doubt of the supply at a very early period — the exertions of mine shall be wanting to hasten the supply —
In a few days I shall be able to write you conclusively what may be expected — I hope however the supply will be obtained Shortly; whether or no, you shall be advised —
