Filling Vacancies Within the Regiment
Document 1799Bentley complains of the method by which the vacancies within his regiment were filled. He would have expected that the vacancies would have been filled by the junior officers and that those who were already in service would have been promoted. The two reports respecting the relative rank of these officers do not agree so Bentley requests that the reports be reconciled.
