Sir
You will find this letter accompanied by sundry Rolls & Vouchers of disbursements in the Army, Pay department — agreeable to the annexed Schedule, the amount two thousand, four hundred and nine dollars and eight cents — You will please to acknowledge the receipt of these papers & place the sum paid thereon to my credit on the books of your Office —
Mr I Nourse by his letter of the 9th of May last informs me of the examination & admission of all my Accounts transmitted to you in my letter of the 18th of April 1799, Except a payment of 43. Three Dollars to Capt Jno. G. Turner for expenses paid in pursuit of Deserters — I presume Mr Wagner has not observed to you. I have already examined that account together with its relative Vouchers & enrolled it to be paid — Your order for that purpose is dated 1st Feby 1799 —
In pursuance of Colo Ford Strong's request I have had a number of Muster & Pay Rolls printed, the printing of which Mr John Scott has engaged to perform at the same rate such printing is performed in Phila — I have therefore to request information on that business —
I am very respectfully
