I am to inform you that your Pay for the months of January, February, March, April, May 1799 has been paid to M^cM^r Mary Nicholas agreeably to your orders, in which no further sum is necessary. With respect to the Clothing due to be issued to you, while a recruit it will be necessary that you obtain a certificate from the Secretary of War stating that you was entitled thereto to be receive money in lieu thereof, which is to be accompanied by your oath that you have not drawn any Clothing or money in lieu of the same while acting in the aforesaid Capacity — I am &c W.S.
