[To] the Secretary at War Navy Department 8^th August 799 Sir The bearer Pat Finder received half a pension prior to his enlisting in the Maury on board of the United States Frigate from which Service he was discharged in December last, in consequence of breaking his Arm on board Ship and before the late Law respecting a provision for disabled Seamen & Marines to be put on the Pension List.
