Sir,
your pay is now due for six months. The amount will just about balance you acccount with me; and I wish you would make it out and send it to me, with an order to receive it. — So much difficulty and expence has attended the storage of the Powder at your post that we are endeavouring to fall on measures for removing it — I wish you would examine it and report to me the number and kinds of Casks in which it is contained, and whether they are in a state to be transported — I am informed the payment of the rent is at length effected. —
I am,
Sir,
your most obedient Servant,
Samuel Hodgdon.
