I have received your letter dated 20 Inst. enclosing abstracts & Pay rolls of the Detachment of [undecipherable] under your command up to 30 June 1799 amounting agreeably to your statement to Drs 229.46
from which has been deducted
the sums paid for pursuing John White who
absconded from [undecipherable] Niagara

leaving a balance of two hundred twenty four Dollars & [undecipherable] which sums you will receive from Colonel [undecipherable: probable reading Kitty] Supervisor Baltimore, also a further sum of eighty seven Dollars, on account of the Recruiting service.
for which sums you will please to grant your necessary Rects & be accountable for the due application thereof.
To note which the Secretary of War desires what allowances can be made for altering fatigue Clothing to whom application must be made accordingly
