Sir You will receive from Mr Samuel Deane for the sum of One thousand eight hundred & thirty three Dollars & [undecipherable]/100 being for pay of a Detachment of the [undecipherable] Regt of [undecipherable] under the command of Lieut. Nathaniel Kennedy from [undecipherable] to 30 June 1799 differing from his Statement of about [undecipherable] remarks herewith for your Governmt.
for which sum you will be [undecipherable] the Treasury your duplicate receipt to be accountable for the applications thereof; & is to be kept separate from your other accounts —
The deductions made from the pay of sundry [undecipherable] artillerists was in consequence of their being mustered separately to your certificate musters the [undecipherable] (Master Rolls) or [undecipherable] only; Should this be an error it will be necessary for you to make new muster Rolls for the [undecipherable] above mentioned, noting thereon the number of artillerists belonging to the Detachment
