Sir,
On the adjustment of the purveyor's account at the Treasury, payments on your orders for two thousand Rifle Muskets are admitted, which were contracted for, and received by you of the contractors as appears by your receipts, of course they stand charge to you. Be pleased to inform me how they were disposed off, and send me the orders and receipts for their delivery, that I may be enabled to close your account in the Store Books of the public under my keeping —
I am, Sir,

Sir,
Colonel Ogden complains of the Cartouche Boxes and Camp Utensils forwarded to him by you being old, out of order, and many of them not fit for use. Be pleased to inform me how that matter stands. you are too well acquainted with such business to send forward useless articles for the use of the Troops, a circumstance that induces me to believe there must be some mistake. I will thank you to send me a correct Return of every article now on hand; and note particularly the state of each. send your vouchers for the deliveries made ——
your most obedient Servant,
Col. Peter Hunt, Samuel Hodgdon —
