I have not given them of the 1 instant return your acct of supplies to the Troops at New Port [undecipherable] Place for the Quarter ending the 30 June which will be for minute examination and the result thereof you will be duly informed of.
Your former accounts being for supplies at such place for the quarter ending 31 March are been suspended waiting for the final settlement of your acct at the Treasury for the last quarter of the Year 1792, as their settlement is to fix the price of rations to be allowed you at this Office for all [undecipherable] previous to this 1 July, when a new contract is to commence —
Looking over your acct I perceive you have paid [undecipherable] Thomas [undecipherable: probable reading Plunghast] money in lieu of his Forage, Such charges will not be admitted in futures as settlements of this nature are not to be [undecipherable] at this Office—
