The Auditor of the Treasury Department has transmitted to this Office a statement of rations furnished by the contractor at those [undecipherable] to the Officer therein mentioned by which it appears that you have drawn double rations for the months of Sept & Oct 1791 as commandant of the Garrison of Fort Mifflin —
The Sec.y of War having however decided that Gen.l Muhlenberg was the commandant of that Garrison for the period above mentioned to receive double rations accordingly therefore the Sum of Doll.s 46 8/90 being the amount of 249 Rations [at 19 Cents & [undecipherable]] overdrawn by you will be deducted from your pay as settlement at this Office —

By the acc.t of William Hollins Contractor reported at this Office it appears that [there] have been drawn rations for [undecipherable] as Majors [undecipherable] for the month of May 1799 — this being the case the Sum of Dollars 8 8/90 will be deducted from your pay on Settlement at this Office being the amount of 31 rations overdrawn at the [undecipherable] of 19 [undecipherable] ration —
