I have received your letter of the 2d Inst enclosing the a/c bills for pay of the Ordnance Department for Mary 1799 amounting to Seventy new Dollars, which has been examined & found correct and will be [undecipherable] to your credit on the Books of the Office — Also your account of Salary from 1 [undecipherable] to 30 June 1799 which you will receive in your [undecipherable] as I account for the 1st of the present month — which I request may be [undecipherable] forwarded to this Office immediately in order that this [undecipherable] may be adjusted, money having been transmitted to you for that purpose.
