[lieut^t Freeman Morly Steubling Conv^d b^o] Accountants Office July 6^th 1799 Sir On the other side you have duplicates of my letter to you dated the 16 Ulto: & a Copy of the estimates therein enclosed, since which I have rec^d your letter of the 13^th addressed to the Sec^y of War, inclosing an acc^t brot^t boundary not for payments made by you; from the tenor of your letter I am led to believe that my letter must have miscarried & I am Strengthened in this belief from the payments you have made. I have therefore thought it proper that you should be furnished with duplicates &c From K^o W.S. It being the duty of the master Genral to examine all accounts of the nature of those forwarded, in the first instance they being shortly prepared for arrival at this place, they will be returned until he arrives when they will be transferred to him, who as doubt will communicate with you on the Subject.
