Sir
On the other side you have duplicates of my letter to you dated the 16 Ulto: & a Copy of the estimates therein enclosed, since which I have recd your letter of the 13th addressed to the Secy of War, inclosing an acct brott boundary not for payments made by you; from the tenor of your letter I am led to believe that my letter must have miscarried & I am Strengthened in this belief from the payments you have made. I have therefore thought it proper that you should be furnished with duplicates &c

Sir
I have received your letter of this 2d inclosing the Accts & Vouchers therein mentioned. It being the duty of the master Genral to examine all accounts of the nature of those forwarded, in the first instance they being shortly prepared for arrival at this place, they will be returned until he arrives when they will be transferred to him, who as doubt will communicate with you on the Subject.
