David Morris                          Accountants Office Fort McHenry                                 July 6^th 1799 Sir, The Pay & Muster Rolls for the Month of June of the Detachment under your command have been examined & found correct amounting to Six hundred thirty six Dollars & [undecipherable] You, which sum you will receive from John Kelsy Esq. at Baltimore on giving him your duplicate rect. letting you accountable for the due application thereof — I am &c W.L. John Steel Esq.                                 July 6^th 1799 Sup^t Baltimore Sir, The treasurer of the United States will remit you the sum of Six hundred & Thirty six Dollars & [undecipherable] for [undecipherable] as pay of Capt. David Morris, D^r Philip [undecipherable: Landslow?] & [undecipherable] & [undecipherable] Surgeon James [undecipherable] including [undecipherable] pay of the non commissioned Officers & Privates stationed at Fort McHenry for the month of June 1799, which sum you will please to pay to the said Capt.
