The originals or duplicates of these vouchers have already been admitted to the credit of G.I. McAlister on the books of this Office, of which he has been duly informed —

I have received your letter dated the 30 Ulto with the accounts & accts accompanying the same — It being the duty of the Pay master first to examine in the first instance, & examine all accts, take returns of actions you forward us, & that Officer being shortly ordered to ascertain how they will be deferred until that event; when they will be transferred to him, with the letter and information I pass on the subject, and communication will no doubt be early made from him to you on the subject —
