Sir,
I have drawn on you this day in favor of Pubet, Pillhant & Co. for One Thousand Dollars, it being for value received of them in Specie, and the Sum is to be appropriated to the paying of the Troops in Tennessee under the command of Col. Butler. This bill is drawn payable after ten days sight, and having passed the Same to the credit of the Treasury requests its being honored.
