You will deliver with your own Hands the enclosed letter to David Fiero, late Ensign, now Lieutenant in the third Regiment of Infantry in the service of the united States. & informs him of the pleasure [undecipherable] of the United States, that his Commission as an [undecipherable: Officer?] in the Army of the United States is revoked and [undecipherable: that] all pay and emoluments derived therefrom [undecipherable: shall] cease and determine from and after the receipt of the said Letter. You will instruct the [undecipherable], to demand and receive from Lieutenant Fiero all such Books, Orders, and other public property as may be in his possession, and inform me forthwith of the day on which you delivered the enclosed letter to Lieutenant Fiero, in order that his accounts may be [undecipherable] to the same date.
