Since my letter to you of the 29 Ulto I have discovered on looking over the rec't then transmitted, that it is the recpt of Capt John M. Hacketts for four months pay amounting to One hundred & forty Dollars [undecipherable] of this rec charged for One hundred Dollars on account of the [undecipherable] services I therefore advise you the rec't & require you to replace it by that charged on the account—
