Sir Inclosed is a return of Stores wanted for a detachment under Command of Lieu^t. Leorant, who are under Marching orders for New London, which I would thank you to forward me by the earliest opportunity — and also request the Store Keeper, to put up the Articles contained in each of my Requisitions, distinct by themselves. which will enable me to facilitate the delivery of them on arrival here; I would observe that there is a great deficiency in the articles forwarded me for the 12 Regiments, on the 8^th May last, which will be pointed out to you by the [undecipherable] of the S^t. Regiments, as the deficiency was amongst the articles contained in Some Hogsheads, was not found out till after I had obtained receipt from the Paymaster which, I took from him agreeable to the form of the Invoice, & duly forwarded You as also the & Masters receipt — Care ought to be taken in having the Articles put up in good order, as also being Particular in counting them, which would prevent much trouble — I would thank you to inform me what price you allow for the Soldiers Cockade, with a Tin Eagle, as I am directed to furnish the 12 Reg^t. with a quantity — My respects to M^rs H & family & Remains Sir Your H[undecipherable] [undecipherable] Burns,
