In answer to your letter of the 10th inst. I have to inform you that your pay Subsistence for the months of March & May 1799 has been transmitted to John Fitzgerald Esq. Collector at Alexandria, on the 12 Inst. payable for your order.
Your Bond charged on the Books of the Office for monies lent to you on account of the Recruiting service, no receipts have been yet forwarded for the bounty paid by you. It is necessary therefore that you should transmit affidavits shewing the number of recruits you have enlisted & the amount of bounty paid to each recruit agreeably to your Recruiting Instructions.
