Your two letters of the 22 Ulto — 11 h.
yestorday to be furnished with forms & for closing your accots
were duly Recevd the former was intended to have been answer'd
& the tale & omissions for taking vouchers for your supplies
to have been furnished you before this time, had but been
[strikethrough: omitted] owing to the general calls about to be completed
fully completed. From therefore only answer generally to the
queries contained in your letter which may be I
promise to give in the interval an taking vouchers for
your Supplies — viz.
Rations —
The accountant voucher, for rations furnished must be a
monthly return of the provision retn in the form of the
one shewing in separate columns every description of persons
for whose document a vouching shews the daily given this
being certified by the Commanding Officer to be a just true
return of the provision recd by the Company in the manner
of the Mess shall be produced by the Contractor as a proper
voucher —
Quarter Master, Hospital Stores &c
Store received for by the Commanding Officer & Storing in general
shows the purpose or what indeed shall be a sufficient authority
for the Contractor making the purchase, which must all alnways
be accompanied by the bills & rect of the person from whom purchased, and if the articles are furnished from the Contractors
Store, must must be thus produced, that they are not charged
above the market price & when the articles are delivered the
acknowledgment of the rect thereof by the Commanding Officer will
be a proper voucher —
