Pittsburgh 14^th June 1799. Sir Your letter of the 7^th instant is now before me I am making some progress in the business you have wrote upon And as M^r King is now assisting, the Returns &c shall be constantly attended to until they are compleated. I feel anxious to have that business settled — but is there a Necessity for suspending the settlement of my Commissary Accounts until the others are closed — Pray inform me in what manner Col: Stephens has had a settlement of his claim for services in the Ordnance department — I am in hopes it may facilitate a settlement of mine — I find that Capt.
