I received your favour dated the 20 ult imo conteaning [strikethrough: the] Terms proposed by Messrs Peter and Bayerd on which they will take my son and with which I am very well Satisfied and have reason to beleeve that he is So like wise he hath my full consent to Bind him Self to them on the Terms they propose and I wish him to conduct him Self in Such a maner as to merit their esteem he will receive a reasonable Supply of (cash) Chr John Baker [strikethrough: and he] hath a great esteem for you I could wish you would act as his guardian.
