I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 2d Ulto inclosing Muster & Pay rolls of the troops at Fort muysin under the command of mayr J H M Kennard for the month of April 1799 which have undergone examination and the following is the result:

add Pay & Forage of Hayr and John B Orfen — 36.—

Deduct your own pay to be settled on personals account—

leaving a balance of two hundred thirty one dollars & fifty three Cents which sum you will receive from [strikethrough: dem] Installations here, granting the necessary receipts to be accountable for the on application thereof
Application must be made to the War Office with respect to forms of allotments.
If any advances were received on pay and appointments John Bently & Louis Bennett, disorder you will be please to withhold the same on your present standing it from their pay.
