I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 2d Ulto inclosing Muster & Pay rolls of the troops at Fort Muyson under the command of may [undecipherable] Howard for the month of April 1799 which have undergone examination and the following is the result
Amount of Pay rolls of your command— Do 335.93
add Pay & forage of hayr and John B Griffin— 36 —
471.93
Deduct your own pay to be stated on personal account—

shewing a balance of two hundred thirty one dollars & fifty three Cents which sum you will receive from Deductions had granting the recipy recepts to be accountable for the on application thereof.
Application must be made to the War Office with respect to hours of [undecipherable].
If any advances were received in January or [undecipherable] John Booths & Louis Bennett, desires you will be Please to with hold the same on your present drawing it from their pay—
