Superintendent of Military Stores Sir You will receive enclosed an Abstract under date of the 13^th ulto of articles purchased by George Stites Esq.^r agent for this Department in New york, in the months of January & February 1799, for the amount of which he will receive a Credit on the Books of this Office — The Vouchers for the articles purchased as above mentioned have been either by the Departmental Quarter master Surgeon or master Workman endorsed as evidence of the delivery or forwarded hither; such as are noted on the said abstract of this notice without this enclosure; you will please have for the said George Stites as aforesaid accounted on the Books of the Superintendency of Military Stores — You will please to send in acknowledging their receipt hereof, together with the abstract enclosed — I am &c W.
