I have received your favr of the 29th & 31st Ulto — one inclosing draft for $74.57/00 is pass'd to your Credit — with Respect to public Clothing & Stores mentioned in my last, I have to repeat it, as being necessary I be furnished with those articles, and Subjoin a list of them — the Genl. has enjoined it on me to request your attention to this business, that they may be in Readiness to deliver him [undecipherable] his order. — I would observe to you that when Capt. [undecipherable] [undecipherable]s Companys were ordered to march from [undecipherable] Jay to [undecipherable] Pennsylvania to Quell the Riot there, I had not a musquet Cartridge to deliver them, I was under the necessity of borrowing from this State, three thousand, for their use — this will show to You (in some degree) the Propriety of my request
