It appears by an account exhibited by Capt. Drumr
Ainsworth & Menr Thos Attells place at New London, was
paid at this Office that he has purchase a Tombel or
Commandment on pursuance of orders from the Secretary
of War through the Secretary of the Treasury for the use of
The United States, the cost of which is Dollars &c. You
are therefore requested to charge those to him his Supernumary
accounts on the Books of the Superintendent of Military
Stores —

Ulto inclosing your account to the 21s May 1799, which
has undergone examination the result whereof is as follows Viz
amount of your pay from 24th March to 31 May 1799
inclusive being 69 Days at 2 Dollars 9 Day $138 —
Letter of your subsistence from [undecipherable] the date of your
arrival at Baltimore. To 31 March 1799 being
63 Days to 2 Mts 7 Days 40 cts at[?] 6 Soldiers 18. 15
Letter of days here expenses on the road from [undecipherable]
to Baltimore of your account stated ............. 12 —
from which deduct 144. 15
This sum accrued to you on acct of your compensation
& expences incurred for [undecipherable] to Baltimore 100 —
leaving a balance of forty four Dollars & 15¢ which [undecipherable]
will receive from him the Superintendent at Baltimore granting 44. 15
