The Secretary of War has given two Warrants in favor of Samuel Meredith Esqr Treasurer of the United States for the following sums. one for two thousand five hundred Dollars & the other for four thousand two hundred to be deposited in the Bank at Charleston, subject to your orders. the former being on account of the Subsistence of the Army & the latter on account of the Fortifications at Charleston &ca. on which sums you are charged. Make accountable on the Books of this Office, you will be pleased to forward your duplicate receipts accordingly.
