I have this moment rec'd. your letter of the 24 & [strikethrough: papers] some of its enclosures. Among the latter, there was a letter to Lt. Col. Hamtranch which I return for your reperusal.
You will recollect [marginal lines beside the following passage] that the troops in Tenifee and on the Georgia Frontier are all within Gen Pinckney's command. your letter to Hamtranch extends his authority to the troops in Tenifee. will you be pleased to have this corrected.
