The Commanding Officers at [undecipherable: Ellicottstown?] Stations in the Harbor of Pittsburgh in the years 1797 & 1799 have drawn double rations under the 4th Section of the Act of the 3d March 1797 entitled an Act to amend & repeal, in part the act entitled "an act to ascertain & fix the military Establishment of the United States" which says and for each officer who commands a separate post there shall be allowed twice the number of Rations to which they would otherwise be entitled
I request to be informed whether the abovementioned Stations for the above description were considered as separate posts & the commanding Officers therein entitled to receive double Rations—
