Sir,
I have taken the liberty of writing a few lines to you respecting the cloathing that is destin'd for the Troops of the 11th Regiment commanded by Col. Ogden — When I was in Philadelp[hia] [undecipherable] [undecipherable] part of Cloathing [undecipherable] would be in readiness to be delivered in at the Public Store [undecipherable] very few days — [undecipherable] they would be immediately transmitted to Trenton, according to Order — Col. Ogden informs me that some part of the cloathing Such as Shoes & Overalls has been Recd by Mr Hunt at Trenton, but the Most Material parts which are Coats Blankets &c had not yet been Recd — The Officers are in very great want of these articles at present for their Recruits & continual applications are making for the same. If you would be kind enough be to inform me, in what Situation the cloathing is & when we may expect it, it would greatly oblige
