I have this moment received Mr Banges' letter of the 3d inst — in answer to mine respecting a distribution of Medicine and Hospital Stores for the Mississippi Posts and shall pay attention to the Directions therein, but am apprehensive that it will be found very inconvenient for the Commanding Officer at Loftus'Bluffs to send to Natchez for Stores a distance of One thousand Miles —
The Articles purchased for Capt. Lyman are not yet come to hand. I presume they have escaped Mr Harris's Notice in the hurry of his business —
