[Copy] Staunton 7. May 1799 Sir, I am directed by Col^o Winder to notify you of my arrival at this place, on my way to Winchester, with a recruiting party, Captains Diven and Grayson of the 4^th. Regiment are along, Captain Grayson has gone forward to George Town, where he will wait Orders. I shall be at Winchester about the 12. Instant, where I shall wait Orders. The party consists of 2 Sergeants, 2 Corporals, 3 Music, and 7 Privates.
